My Approach

My Approach

I have met BACP and NHS educational standards having trained at the only counselling and psychotherapy training centre based within the NHS which trains students to BACP accredited standard. I abide by the BACP code of ethics and conducts at all times whilst offering individual Counselling and Psychotherapy. As well as my private practice I currently work at MIND and have worked at an educational college with students and adults.

I am integrative practitioner and have an extensive knowledge of a wide range of approaches. My work includes several psychological theories including the Psychodynamic approach, Humanistic, Person Centred, cognitive behavioural therapy and the Existential Approach. At times I may draw upon some other models such as Gestault. I feel privileged to have trained integratively as I feel passionately about the uniqueness of each individual. One style of therapy may be suitable for you but not as much for another individual. Being an integrative practitioner, I can ensure that the therapeutic approach is flexible to suit your needs. I believe that each individual is unique and that you know yourself best. I work alongside you in a non-judgemental, friendly approach to nurture and empower you in facing battles, working through complex issues, increasing self-awareness, utilising, and recognising your potential and strengths and setting goals for the future. It can be difficult to understand the root cause of your problems and I work alongside my clients in a holistic manner in a safe environment to help facilitate this.
